Kelly, Mary Jane (Maun) 1922 to 2014 In loving memory of Mary Jane (Maun) Kelly who passed away peacefully on July 25, 2014 at the Vi residence in Palo Alto, California. Mary Jane was born in Western Pennsylvania on April 24, 1922, the daughter of Noris Chester Maun and Bessa Webster. She attended the University of Ohio and earned an undergraduate degree in Biology in 1944. Mary Jane graduated from the University of Michigan, Medical School in 1948 and was a practicing physician for over 50 years. From 1970 until she retired at the age of 75, she worked as a Medical Officer for the City of Dallas, Texas. In her later years, she moved to California to enjoy the sunshine and to live near her children and grandchildren. Mary Jane was an avid bridge player (Life Master), bird watcher, and bicyclist. She enjoyed being outdoors, beach vacations, needlepoint, and backgammon. She loved Chinese dragons and cats. Mary Jane took great pleasure in keeping up with the latest medical news and events. Mary Jane was preceded in death by her husband, John Joseph Kelly, Jr., a Word War II veteran, a graduate of the University of Michigan, and a career geologist for Mobile Oil Corporation. Mary Jane is survived by her children John Joseph (Joe) Kelly III, Susan Kelly Barnes, and Lisa Jane Kelly; and four grandchildren Colin Tribble, John (Ian) Joseph Kelly IV, Margaret Ringler, and Rebecca Jane Tribble.
