Reece, Rex Glenn Rex Glenn Reece, age 56, walked with grace toward his heavenly home on August 14, 2013. Rex's unwavering faith in Christ was inspired by the teachings of Jesus and touched the lives of those he met. He never wavered in his love for our Lord. He attended the Big Flat Assembly of God Church and he remained a faithful servant throughout his life. Rex was a mad scientist at heart, with varied interests and expansive knowledge about a wide range of topics. He was a graduate of Marshall High School in Marshall, Arkansas and received his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics from University of Texas at Arlington. His love of learning ultimately led to a graduate degree in Electrical Engineering. Rex loved his family. He had a wonderful and sharp wit and an easy smile. He was a selfless and giving person to friends, family, and strangers alike. His sparkling, blue eyes spoke volumes of his kind heart. At the same time, he never met a stranger with whom he couldn't have a conversation. Rex loved life in spite of a prolonged illness, which he valiantly battled for three-and-a-half years. Rex was welcomed to his eternal home by his parents, Nello and Mary Reece, sister Patricia, brothers, Richard and Robert, and numerous extended family members. He is survived by the love of his life, Susan, his daughter Jessica, his new-found god-daughter, Xue, and his sisters LaWayne (Larry) and Lindsey of Springfield MO, Nina (Robert) of Harriett AR, and brothers Roger (Pamela) of Daingerfield TX, Michael (Marla) of Big Flat AR, and many other relatives and friends who love and miss him. A celebration of Rex's life will be held on August 17, 2013 at Aria Funeral Home, Preston Road, Dallas, Texas at 1:00 PM. Donations in Rex's honor may be made to .
