Carsey Jr., Robert C Passed away on June 23, 2013. He was born August 7, 1931 in Houston, Texas to Robert Coulson Carsey and Lola Cathryne Reed. His two sisters who preceded him in death were Jeanne Cummins and Mary Jane Bunton. The family moved to Greenville, Texas and later Houston. Bobby graduated from Lamar High School and was a yell leader there. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1954 and was a member of the fraternity Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Bobby served two years in the United States Army after college and then returned to Houston, Texas where we began work at his father's car business - Carsey Motor Sales. He married Carol Beth Fillmore December 17, 1960 who he met at the University of Texas at Austin. They had two children, Anne Elizabeth Carsey, born October 4, 1961 and Robert Coulson Carsey, III, born March 29, 1963. After working for his father, Bobby began work in the apparel business in 1969 as a sales representative for Maidenform and then Lily of France in 1973. In 1976, he moved the family to Dallas, Texas to advance his business in apparel sales and opened a showroom at the Dallas Apparel Mart. In 1990, he started his own business as an independent apparel representative which he operated successfully until he retired in 2000. Bobby was loved by all and will be truly missed. He is preceded in death by his wife, Carol Beth (November 2004) and his daughter, Anne Elizabeth (November 1983). He leaves his son Robert Coulson Carsey, III and wife, Melani; and granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 AM on Friday, June 28, 2013 at Restland Funeral Home. Graveside service to follow at 11:00 AM in Restland Memorial Park.
