She graduated in 1992 from Texas A&M University with a degree in kinesiology. She married Jonathan Wright Heidtke and had three wonderful children: Heath, Hannah and Hunter. Sandy lost her battle with Stage 4 melanoma January 28. Sandy was a teacher all her life, from Sunday School and pre-school to coaching various teams.
