Campbell, Uhl Rex 5/12/1948 - 8/24/2013 Our beloved Rex passed into the arms of the Lord on August 24, 2013 after a valiant fight against lung cancer. Rex was born in Dallas, TX and was raised in the City of Garland. Upon graduation from High School, he joined the Navy and served his country during the Vietnam War. Rex was a member of the First Bap-tist Church in Wylie where his mis-sion was to help people in any way possible. Rex's love of camping, wa-ter sports and NASCAR races was an important part of who he was. He was employed by 4-L Engineering Company, Inc. for 23 years as a Senior Technician and considered the company and all employees a second family. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Nancy, his brother Ray Campbell and wife Nancy; one sister Nancy Ruth Cox and husband Ronnie; 3 sons: Wayne, Ben and Bill and their families; 6 grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces. Rex, with his long ponytail, brought such joy and happiness with his electric smile and joyful attitude to all he touched. May he rest in peace. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, August 28th at 3:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Wylie. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the First Baptist Church of Wylie, 100 N. 1st Street, Wylie TX 75098.
