Schuster, Walter Lee Another good man has gone to heaven. Walter Lee Schuster of Richardson, TX, died suddenly of pulmonary illness on November 25, 2012 at the age of 80 after a blessed Thanksgiving celebration with his beloved family. Born September 29, 1932 in Lott, Falls County, Texas, raised in North Zulch, Richards, and Houston, TX. Served 4 years in the Air Force in Honolulu, Eniwetok Atoll, and Del Rio, TX in the early '50's, went to the University of Houston on the GI Bill and graduated with honors with degrees in Electrical Engineering and Math. Moved to Dallas to work at Collins Radio in 1960. Met and married Peggy Alford in 1963. They made their home in Richardson, TX, where he started his own cabinetry & carpentry business in 1973. He was a Lifetime member of IEEE, an officer in the N. TX Woodworkers Association, and a First Baptist, Richardson member. His legacy is his 4 adored daughters they raised and his 8 grandchildren. Survived by Peggy, his wife of almost 50 years; daughter Rosemary and husband Joe Hughes of Plano, TX; daughter Sarah and husband David Whitfield of Kilgore, TX, daughter Susan and husband Paul Cluiss of Richardson, TX; daughter Sandra and husband Bob Wiltshire of Liberty, TX; grandchildren Dillon, Hannah, Grace, Tom, Martha, Caroline, Jonathan, and Aaron; sister Billie Grissom of Richards, TX; sister Betty Phillips of Houston, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by mother Lillian Lee Mathews Johnson Schuster, father Walter Louie Schuster, brothers Jim Ed Johnson, Robert Johnson, & Louie Schuster; sister Cora Goodman. A graveside service, officiated by David Whitfield, will be held this Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Willowhole Cemetery in North Zulch, TX. Visitation 1-2 p.m. at graveside. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army or to the University of Texas Health Science Center of Tyler.
