News Death Notice
BAKER, Clifford E. Age 84, of Germantown, OH, passed away, Thursday, October 31, 2013, at Hospice of Dayton, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Dayton, OH, on December 15, 1928, to the late Walter S. and Adrien (Pratt) Baker. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict ~ serving as a Staff Sargeant in the 1st Cavalry Division. Clifford retired from General Motors ~ Inland Division in 1990 after 19 years of service. He was a former member and past treasurer of Miamisburg Assembly of God. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years DeLavia B. (Price) Baker; brothers, Richard & Walter Baker; and sisters, Ethel Huff & Edith Poling. He is survived by his children, John (Laura) Baker of Germantown, Teresa (Rev. David) Griffith of Somerville and Lisa Baker of Kettering; grandchildren, Jacqueline DeLavia Baker, Connor & Naomi Baker, Halie, Madilynn & Nicholas Cleveland, Tequesha Frazier, Rydal Arnold, and Thomas Smith; his great-granddaughter, Aubree Howard; and his sister Ruby (James) Wentz of New Carlisle. Family and friends may call 6-8 p.m., Monday, November 4th, at the Dalton Funeral Home, Corner of State Route 4 & Weaver Rd., Germantown, where the Funeral Service will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, with Rev.
