News Death Notice

HOOVER, Delbert R. age 93 of Brookville passed away on Monday, March 18, 2013 at Brookhaven. He was born May 25, 1919 in Mansfield, Ohio. Preceded in death by his parents Clayton B. and Alma C. (Beaver) Hoover, beloved wife Hazel M. (McKirby) Hoover, brother Marion Hoover, sisters Elsie Hoover and Esther Dettwiler, 2 grandchildren. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Raymond L. and Jane Hoover-Troy, daughters and sons-in-law Joyce and John Karns-Dayton, Lois and Ray Fuson-West Milton, 3 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren. Delbert was retired from General Motors after 35 years of service, a member of West Milton Senior Citizens, attended Brethren in Christ Church-Pleasant Hill, enjoyed vacationing in Florida and loved to fish. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami Street, West Milton with Pastor John Weaver officiating, burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Englewood. Friends may call on Friday from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at Hale-Sarver.
