News Death Notice

LANDSIEDEL, James A. age 85 of Washington Township passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Brighton Gardens. Jim was born on August 5, 1927 in Dayton to the late Byron and Harriet Reisert Landsiedel. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Howard; a sister, Ann Davis; a niece and a nephew. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Edna (Edie); a son, James T. (Tracy) Landsiedel; a daughter, Lisa Landsiedel; two nieces; two nephews; a grandson; and many wonderful friends. Jim was a graduate of Fairview High School in 1946 and the University of Dayton in 1956. He served in the Air Force and was an Agent for 59 years with Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company. He was a member of the Dayton Chapter of the Society of Financial Services, the Dayton Chapter of the National Association of Life Underwriters, a life member of the Million Dollar Round Table, Southminster Presbyterian Church, the Centerville Rotary Club, and the National Corvette Restorers Society. The family would like to express a special thanks to all at Brighton Gardens, Crossroads Hospice, and the pastoral staff at Southminster Presbyterian Church for their loving care and support. Friends may call from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, December 3, 2012 at the Southminster Presbyterian Church, 7001 Far Hills Ave., Centerville, Ohio 45459, with a Celebration of Life service at 11:30 a.m. The Reverend Jacqueline Nowak officiating.
