News Death Notice

REINDL, Lloyd J. age 86 of Union, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2012. He was born in Mansfield, Ohio on January 2, 1926 to the late Charles and Henrietta (Sutter) Reindl. He was a graduate of Mansfield St. Peter's High School and the University of Dayton in 1948 with a degree in Chemistry. He retired after 35 years from General Motors- Inland Division in Dayton. He was active in the Society for Coatings Technology (CDIC) and consulted in the industry for 13 years following his retirement. He was also a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church and was a veteran of WWII having proudly served in the U.S. Army. Lloyd was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be missed by all. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law: Charlie Reindl of KY, Rick Reindl of TX, Mike (Holly) Reindl of IL, Ed (Lee Anne) Reindl of IN, 4 grandchildren, relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years: Helen L. (Robison) Reindl and brothers: Jim and Harold Reindl. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 6, 2012 at Precious Blood Catholic Church (4961 Salem Ave.) with Father Timothy Knepper, C.P.P.S. as celebrant. Interment will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery in Dayton. The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood) where prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. prior to Mass.
