News Death Notice

KAYLOR, Lylburn D. "Boob" 85, of Vandalia, passed away Friday, June 7, 2013. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on May 10, 1928 to Lawrence, Sr. & Emma (Buehler) Kaylor. Lyl was retired from General Motors after 32 years of service. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Post # 746 and #668. Preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters & 9 brothers. Survived by his daughter & son-in-law, Tonya & Mike Oberer; sons & daughters-in-law, Bart & Tina Kaylor, Robert & Barbara Kaylor, Gary Kaylor; 8 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren; sister, Doris McKinnon; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Funeral service 7 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2013 at the GEORGE C. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, "Northridge Chapel," 5040 Frederick Pike at Needmore Road. Cremation to follow with inurnment at Poplar Hill Cemetery in Vandalia. The family will receive friends Thursday 4-7 p.m. at the George C. Martin Funeral Home. Condolences can be shared at
