TRIGG, Marlene (Shoemaker) Marlene passed away August 25, 2014 at her home surrounded by family, following a courageous battle with cancer. Marlene was born in Indiana, moved to Dayton as a child. Marlene graduated from Fairview H.S. After many years of service, she retired from the L.M. Berry Co. Marlene completed the Ohio State University Master Gardener program and volunteered at Cox Arboretum for 15 years. She moved to Sun City, Hilton Head in 2004, where she enjoyed gardening, boating and being by the water. Marlene volunteered at Church Mouse, Bargain Box and Cancer Thrift Store. She also volunteered at Hardeeville schools, although she stayed busy with her volunteer work, her true passion was her family and in particular her three granddaughters Brittany and Bailey Brown and Lynley Trigg. Marlene is survived by her sisters, Marge Reynolds (Dave) Dayton, OH. Karen Wenz (Bob) Marco Island, FL and many nieces and nephews. Daughter Tacy (Bill) Brown Dayton, OH and son Tim (Beth) Trigg Hilton Head SC. The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice Care of the Low Country for the special care and special thanks to Nurse Sarah Davis for her TLC and friendship.
