Paul E. WIESER Obituary

News Death Notice

WIESER, Paul E. Age 85 of Centerville, Ohio passed away Monday, September 23, 2013 at Ohio State University Center, Ross Heart Hospital. He was born June 2, 1928, in Buffalo, NY to Irving and Irma (Kumpf) Wieser. Paul was a graduate of Technical Engineering High School in Buffalo NY and Heidelberg College in Tiffin OH. Paul was an Eagle Scout who believed and supported this fine organization in helping boys and young men provide service to their community. He was employed at Wright-Patterson AFB in the area of Procurement and Acquisition holding several division and directorship positions. His duty offices through the years included Research & Development (R&D) Contracting, B-52, Strategic Airlift System Program Office, Aeronautical Equipment, and F-22. Paul was the original founder of the Dayton Chapter of National Contract Management Association and served as its first President. He retired after 36 years of dedicated civil service. Paul was a Korean War veteran and served as an Army Lieutenant, Artillery Gun Unit Commander. Paul was a special gentleman with many varied interests. He enjoyed life and made a difference in so many people's lives as a mentor and friend. He enjoyed annual fishing trips and bowling events with special friends Bob Lenehan, Tom Holloway, Rogers Touchman and Bill Johnson. After retirement, Paul enjoyed living part time in Sarasota, FL with his wife, Saundra (his Sandy) and traveling. His positive attitude and believing and enjoying people and life were some of his many attributes. His shining light will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Paul is survived by his beloved wife Saundra (Sandy) and his dear daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Wayne Foster. He is also survived by a grandson Michael (Angela) MacGregor, granddaughter Katie Jo MacGregor, and great-grandson Mason. Paul is also survived by special persons whose lives he touched, Scotty Mantia, Timothy Hockney, Terry Healey, and many special cousins, nieces, and nephews. Visiting hours are Thursday from 5 to 9 P.M. at Tobias Funeral Home, 5471Far Hills Avenue, Centerville, OH. Music provided by Bobbie Strobhar, Harpist. Grave-side services on Friday at 10 A.M. with procession from the Tobias Funeral Home to Valley View Cemetery, U.S. Route 35.
