News Death Notice

HALLER, Robert F. of Tavares, Florida, formerly of Xenia, passed away Monday, December 9, 2013, at his residence. He was born November 25, 1917, in Xenia, Ohio, the son of John G. and Anna L. Trubee Haller. He was a member of St. Brigid Church and was veteran of the United States Army Air Corps, serving during World War II. He retired as a fireman with the Xenia Fire Department and was the owner of Haller Fire Equipment for over 40 years. He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth W. (Annette) Haller, Xenia, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Haller, on September 28, 1995, by two sisters, Mary Catherine Gibbs and Frances Cretors, and by two brothers, John Haller, Jr., and James U. Haller. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am, Monday, December 16, at St. Brigid Church, 312 Fairground Rd., Xenia, with Rev. John Krumm officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-7pm, Sunday, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Burial will be in St. Brigid Cemetery.
