News Death Notice

LYONS, Ronald V. 76, of Medway/New Carlisle, Ohio passed away unexpectedly Monday, September 23, 2013. He was born May 7, 1937 in New Germany, Ohio the son of the late Victor & Lillian (Smith) Lyons. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was a retired electrician from Mutual Electric after 40 years. He was a member of IBEW Local 82 of Dayton, Medlake Lions Club, Rotary Club, Sportsman Club, Tecumseh School Board (88-96) and Bethel Township Trustee. Member of Convention Facilities Authority Clark County, Clark County Zoning Board. Tecumseh Football Chain Gang 30 years, Hall of Fame Committee & Hall of Honor Inductee. He was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Carlisle. He also loved farm tractors and was an avid golfer and bowler. He is survived by his wife; Judith Lyons; children, Doug & Elissa Lyons, Christopher Lyons; granddaughter, Justyne Lyons; two sisters, Joan Bussey & Cynthia McWilliams; step children, Lori & Tony Ammon, Julie Zimmerman; step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, William & Larry Lyons. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Friday September 27, 2013 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Mass of Christian burial will be 10 AM Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Carlisle. Burial will follow in Medway Cemetery.
