News Death Notice
MCINTYRE, Sr., Rondell Everett 80, of Fairborn, passed away May 12, 2013. He is survived by his beloved wife, of 60 years, Pat; granddaughters Crystal and Amber; sisters Brenda Wallingford (Charles) of Union, Kentucky, Jewell Mae McKee of Flemingsburg, Kentucky; nephews Scott McIntyre (Dr. Carrie) of Cincinnati, Kevin McKee of Flemingsburg; nieces Rebecca Anderson (Paul) of Flemingsburg, Sharon Lightner (George) of Maysville, Angela Smith (Dr. Brian) of Georgetown, Kentucky, and Deborah Lehmkuhl (Jason) of Erlanger, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his son, Rondell E. Jr. (Randy), McIntyre, his parents Curtis and Shella (Watkins) McIntyre, and brother, Willis McIntyre (Bernadette) of Maysville, Kentucky. Mr. McIntyre retired as a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force, where he served in Germany, Japan, Greenland and numerous stateside bases. He then worked in the Air Force Materiel Command as a logistics and acquisitions management professional with over 31 years' service where he received numerous honors. He was also employed by the State of Ohio and City of Fairborn. Mr. McIntyre was a member of the Air Force Sergeant's Association, a Life Member of the Disabled American Veterans and a Kentucky Colonel. He was born in Ewing, Kentucky, and graduated with honors from Urbana College with a Bachelor's of Science in Business Management and Administration. A funeral service will be held on Friday May 17, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. in the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd, Fairborn. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the time of service. Burial with full military honors to follow in the Byron Cemetery.
