GRADY, Walter age 92 of Trotwood, OH was born on December 29, 1920 in Terre Haute, IN to the late Walter Francis and Mary Jane (Donnelly) Grady. He was raised in Iowa and graduated from The University of Notre Dame in 1943 with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. Walter was employed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base from 1943 -1976, starting off as a propeller aerodynamicist and finishing as an Operations Research Analyst. Since retiring he worked part-time as an analyst for several study groups including the University of Dayton Research Institute and Science Applications International Corporation. He was a proud member of Precious Blood Catholic Church for 54 years, member of Serra club and was active in the Social Justice Committee and a member of American Helicopter Society. Walter is preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years, Alma Beth (Clerget) Grady. He is survived by his sons Thomas of Trotwood, John Grady and his wife Amy of Englewood, Michael Grady of Washington Twp.; 3 grandchildren, Catherine, Sarah and Mary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Saturday May 4, 2013 at Precious Blood Catholic Church, 4961 Salem Ave. Dayton OH 45416, by Father Tim Knepper. The family will receive visitors 5-8 PM Friday May 3, 2013 at Baker/Hazel & Snider Funeral Home 5555 Philadelphia Dr. @ N. Main St. and a visitation 9:30 AM until time of Mass at Precious Blood on Saturday. Interment Royal Oak Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Hospice of Dayton.
