James "Jim" Olan Langham, 65, passed away on May 13, 2013. He was born in Houston Texas on May 16, 1947 to Olan and Genevieve Langham. Jim graduated from Deer Park High School in 1965 and began attending San Jacinto College. In 1967 he joined the U.S. Navy and in 1968 was deployed to Vietnam where he served for 16 months. After leaving active Navy duty, he received his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from Sam Houston State University. After graduation Jim trained as an Electronic Warfare Officer in the Air Force Officer Training School and flew on B-52's and RC-135's. He retired from the Air Force with the rank of Major in 1993 and became a school teacher in San Antonio. After retirement, he enjoyed earning the title of a Master Gardener in Bexar County. He also enjoyed taking cruises. On one cruise he fell in love with Melinda Drake. He moved to be with Melinda in Canton, Michigan, where he resided until his death.
