Mechanicburg, PA-Reverend James Ronald Smith, 72, of Mechanicsburg, PA went home to be with his Lord, Tuesday evening, June 24, 2014 at the Spring Creek Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Harrisburg, PA.
Pastor Ron was born on December 11, 1941 in Pittsville, Wicomico County, MD, the son the late Raymond & Ethel (Huntington) Smith.
He was the hospital & homebound visitation Pastor for Christian Life Assembly in Camp Hill, PA. Ron was also a US Navy Veteran, a member and past president of the Dillsburg Lions Club and a member of the Upper Allen Township Zoning Board.
Ron is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Sharon L. (Kylor) Smith. His daughter, Rhonda S. Marsh and her husband Robert, of Camp Hill. His sons: Randy W. Smith and his wife, Christine, of Mechanicsburg and Daniel J. Smith and his wife, Christa. His sister: Darlene Willey, of Delmar, DE. 8 Grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brothers: Walter and Carlton Smith.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Faith Baptist Church, 30505 Dagsboro Rd., Salisbury, MD with the Reverend Scott McClymont officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Pittsville Cemetery. A visitation will be held Saturday from 10- 11 am at the church.
