Vincent Wayne Kikta

Berlin, MD-Vincent Wayne Kikta of Berlin, MD passed on July 26, 2014 at the Hospice of Queen Anne's in Centerville, MD. He was 90.

Vincent was born in New Salem, PA, son of Michael and Mabel Kikta, on November 23, 1923. He graduated from Redstone High School, Republic, PA. He served in the US Navy Seabees during World War II and worked at the Bureau of Naval Personnel in Arlington, VA for thirty five years. He has resided in Berlin, MD since 1991.

Predeceased by his parents and his sister, Charmaine Strauch of Grindstone, PA. He is survived by his loving wife, Garnet L. Kikta (Knopsnyder), two children, Captain Mark D. Kikta, USN (Ret.) and wife, Kathy, of Lothian, MD, daughter Michelle S. Kikta of Stevensville, MD, two grandchildren, Brandon D. Kikta, Sean S. Hall of Jacksonville, FL and two great grandchildren.

Service will be held August 6, 2014, 7:00 pm at Helfenbein Funeral Home in Chester, MD. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hospice of Queen Anne's Inc. 255 Comet Drive, Centerville, MD 21617. Online condolences may be made at www.fhnfuneralhome.com
