William "Bill" Lehman Ashe

Salisbury-William "Bill" Lehman Ashe, 79, of Salisbury, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Born in Augusta, GA, he was the son of the late Harold Ashe and Dorothy Baker Ashe and brother of the late Robert Ashe.

A US Army veteran and a graduate of Georgia Tech, "Bill" worked as a Civil Engineer for CRS Sirrine Engineers of Greenville, SC on projects throughout the United States. After joining Heery International, he relocated to the Eastern Shore as a project engineer to oversee the construction of Eastern Shore Correctional Institute in Princess Anne. He continued working as an engineer with several companies on projects until his retirement in 2007.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Ann Warren Ashe; a son, Robert "Bob" Warren Ashe and granddaughters, Stephanie and Jessica Ashe, all of Marietta, GA; a brother, Thomas Ashe and his wife, Geri, nieces, Michele Ashe and Deborah Harper, nephews, Bryan and Michael Ashe, and a cousin, Dorothy Ruth Ashe, all of the Augusta, GA area.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Christ United Methodist Church on Friday, September 5, 2014 at 11:00 am with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Officiating will be Rev. Thomas W. Hurley.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in his memory to Christ United Methodist Church Building Fund, 211 Phillip Morris Drive, Salisbury, MD 21804.
