Charles M. Waugh

Charles M. Waugh (Chuck) was born in Washington D.C. on October 13, 1919. He died in Post Falls, Idaho on December 13, 2012. His parents were Karl and Emily Waugh. He attended Germantown High School, Mercersberg Academy and Princeton University, graduating in 1941. He was very active in the Princeton alumni association for many years. During the war, Chuck served in the U.S. Navy. After the war, he worked for the DuPont company for 42 years, in Kansas City, Missouri, Chicago, Illinois, and then back to Wilmington, retiring in October of 1986. He was a member of the Wilmington Country Club for twenty years and played a great deal of golf. Chuck spent his winters in Sarasota, Florida and traveled extensively.

He was predeceased by his sister Eleanor, his first wife Louise, who died in 1982, and his son Christopher, who died in 2009. He is survived by his wife Anne, who currently lives in Idaho. He is also survived by a beloved niece Janet Myers and her husband Roger, and their three children, Roger Myers, Jr., Russell Myers, and Tracey Myers Cox, and Janet's four grandchildren, and by a step-son David Barnett of Idaho.

There will be a service at the chapel of Westminster Presbyterian Church in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations to the church are appreciated.
