James T. Corle of Wilmington passed away February 6 after a battle with kidney cancer.
Jim was born in rural Jay County Indiana in 1927. Growing up on a farm taught him the values of hard work and determination. These values propelled him through an engineering degree at Purdue University where he was also a member of Theta Tau fraternity and a member of the glee club. He combined these activities as a 55 year member of the Aldersgate choir and as a master gardener, managing the call in line for many years. He was also active in various civic associations throughout his life, frequently serving as president. After retirement he worked extensively with Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County.
