Jesse W. Stewart
Jesse W. Stewart, 92, of Newark, DE, passed away on February 3, 2014. Mr. Stewart served his country in the South Pacific theater as a proud member of the U.S. Army during WWII.
He was employed with National Cash Register (NCR) for four decades, before retiring in 1987. Jesse loved to travel and was a longtime member and past president of the Brandywine Region Antique Automobile Club of America.
Jesse was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Annie L. Stewart, in 2012, as well as his three brothers, Glenn, William, and Robert. He is survived by his son, James W. "Jay" Stewart, and his wife, Valerie; 2 grandchildren, Alison and Jason; and a number of special nieces and nephews.
A service will be held on Wednesday, February 12, at 12:30 pm at the McCrery and Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington 19808. Friends are welcome at 11:30 am.
