AGE: 83 • Rehoboth Beach, DE

Joseph John Hall, 83 of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, Delaware.

He was born on July 31, 1930 in Wilmington, Delaware, son of the late Joseph John Hall and Catherine Leahey Hall.

Mr. Hall was a graduate of St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia, PA where he attended under a Basketball Scholarship. During his university days he was a star basketball player as well as baseball player and had made it to the NIT Final Four during one season. Following college he served in the US Navy during the Korean War, where he also played on the Navy Basketball Team. Following his military service he began a career was with the Rollins Corporation where he was employed for 28 years at Rollins Properties Inc., retiring as President.

An avid golfer, Joe could either be found on the course at Sussex Pines Country Club or chairing one of the many committees at the club or directing one of the many golf outings.

Joe is survived by his wife of 55 years, Catherine "Cass" Murphy Hall ,his Children, Joseph B. Hall and wife Kim of Wilmington, DE, Susan C. Cassidy of Rehoboth Beach, DE, and Jeffrey B. Hall of New York, NY, one sister, Catherine Riley of Wilmington, DE; three grandchildren, Joey Hall of Indianapolis, IN; Jonathan Hall and wife Denise of Wilmington, DE, and Kate Cassidy of Wilmington, DE; and three great grandchildren, Tomas Brown, Devin Hall and Amaya Hall, all of Wilmington, DE.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Epworth United Methodist Church, 19285 Holland Glade Road, Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, where friends may visit one hour prior to services. Interment with military honors will be at the Chapel of the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro, DE on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 10 AM.
