Parker Torsey Fernald, age 87, of Wilmington, DE passed away on Monday, May 20, 2013.

Parker served in the U.S.Navy Air Corps in WWII. He was in training as a bomber pilot and was honorably discharged when the war ended.

He had a degree in Physics from Franklin and Marshall College and a degree in Civil Engineering from Drexel University. He worked for Hercules, Inc. for the majority of his career until his retirement in 1990.

He is survived by his children; daughters, Nancy Fernald, Marita Fernald, Amy Fernald Stuart and her husband , David Stuart, and son Jonathan Fernald and his wife, Mary Jo Fernald, and his grandchildren; Emily Fernald Hodge, Lydia Hodge, Adeline Hodge, Katherine Fernald, Megan Fernald, and Emma Stuart.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013 at 12:00 PM at the New London Presbyterian Cemetery, Church Road (Rte. 896), New London, PA 19352.
