Raymond G. Leuze, age 89, of Bear, DE, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 20, 2014.

Raymond proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII, stationed in the Philippines. He was a highly decorated soldier, receiving a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. Raymond worked for DuPont as a chemical engineer, retiring after 40 years of service. He was a Boy Scout leader and was awarded the Silver Beaver Award. Raymond enjoyed camping with his family, woodworking, gardening, and history. He was a kind man who was always willing to help his neighbors.

Raymond is survived by his son, Robert J. Leuze, Sr. (Sheri); daughter, Sandra J. Weber (Harold); grandchildren: Kenneth Weber (Celia), Jennifer Weber, Robbie Leuze, and Madison Leuze; and sister, Margaret Tyner. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Janice and 2 brothers.

A visitation will be held on Monday, July 28, 2014 from 10-11 AM in the Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Road, Newark, DE 19702 followed by a celebration of Raymond's life at 11 AM. Burial will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Disabled Veterans Relief Fund, Attn: Gift Processing, 1038 N.
