Robert B. Snead Sr.

Robert B. Snead Sr., 54 of Bear passed away suddenly on June 18, 2012.

Bob was a retired air traffic controller for PHL for 25 years, where he is fondly remembered not only as a great controller, but also for his extensive culinary skills. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy after serving 6 years, 4 months, 14 days and 4 hours, as he would so jokingly tell you. Bob was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and taking care of his yearly vegetable garden. He could always be found outside spending time with his dogs Rosie, Sophie and Ace, whom he dearly loved.

As an avid motorcyclist, Bob's Harley was his choice of ride whenever possible. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and the NRA. Bob was a generous man who loved life and had a heart of gold; he always put others before himself.

Bob will be deeply loved and forever missed by his wife Tammy; 3 children, Bryan, Christopher and David; step children, Hannah and Daniel; father, T.G. Timmons; sisters, Jennye and Geri and grandson Taylor. He was predeceased by his mother Mary Timmons.

A committal service will be held Tuesday afternoon, July 3, at 2 pm at the chapel of Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE 19701.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to your local VFW, local animal shelter or a .
