Rosalie V. (Brennan) Peel, age 82 of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 27, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.

Rosalie was born in Jackson Patch, PA on April 30, 1932, the daughter of the late William and Katherine (Barry) Brennan.

She moved to Wilmington, DE with her husband, Anthony F. Peel, Sr., in the mid-1950's to start and raise their family after Tony took a job with General Motors.

Rosalie was a proud member of the Dennison Girls Club for over 40 years. She cherished the friendships she formed and enjoyed the club's trips. The trips she mostly loved were to the beach with her girlfriends. Rosalie valued the time she spent with her grandchildren, always supporting them at their sporting events and other activities.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 56 years, Tony, Sr.; her sons, Tony, Jr. and his wife, Diane and John and his wife, Shelly; her grandchildren, Anthony, Jacob, Matthew, Sarah, Kathleen-Rose and Allison; her great-grandchildren, Sophia and Madelyn; and her brother, Bill Brennan and his wife, Marsha.

In addition to her parents, Rosalie was preceded in death by her two sisters, Mary Drahuszhak and Ann Mernicki.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, August 3, 2014 from 4:00-6:00pm at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Monday, August 4, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Church, Cedar and Clayton Streets, Wilmington. Burial will follow at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
