Stephen E. Skovron

Of Mays Landing, NJ, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2013 at his home in the Oaks of Weymouth, where he has lived for the past 20 years.

He was retired from Resorts Casino as a Fire and Safety Inspector and also worked in security. He was in the Air Force during the Korean War. He became a letter carrier and limo driver before Resorts. He loved sports and was an avid Phillies and Eagles Fan. He also used to sing in barbershop chorus and quartet.

Steve is survived by his fiancée Cheri Peterson; children: Steve Skovron Jr; Wayne (Donna) Skovron, Dave (Trish) Skovron, Larry (Debbie) Skovron, and Joy Skovron-Santiago; grandchildren: Melissa, Katie, Zachary, Quinn, Savanna, Roni, Kelly, Sandee, Brian, and David; and great-grandchild Liliana. He was preceded in death by his parents Felix and Anna Skovron.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2-4 pm at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing, where services with military honors will be held at 4 pm.
