Theodore F. Haller

Ted Haller, 84, of Hockessin, DE and S. Bethany Beach, DE passed away on Friday, December 28, 2012 at the Christiana Hospital in Newark surrounded by family members.

Born in New Orleans, LA, he was the son of the late Theodore Frank Haller and Yvonne Deynoodt Haller. Ted graduated from Tulane Univ. in 1951. He was retired (35 years) from the Photo Products Dept. of the Dupont Company in Marketing and Sales. During WW II he served as an Army Sergeant in the Pacific and Far East Theatres. He was a member of VFW Mason-Dixon Post in Ocean View, DE and was a former member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Ted was also a member of Sages at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Hockessin, DE.

Ted was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Harper Haller. He is survived by his son, Stephen Haller and his wife, Dawn, his daughter, Penny Covelli and her husband, Larry and his three grandchildren, Wade, Kyle and Ashley. He is also survived by his brothers, Jack Haller of Alexandria, LA and Gary Haller of Metairie, LA and numerous brothers and sisters in law.

Ted/Pops/Dad loved hunting, fishing, boating, dancing and his time spent with his friends and family at the beach. His biggest love was life itself and the people he surrounded himself with.

A viewing will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Thursday January 3, 2013 at the CHANDLER FUNERAL HOME, 7230 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin, DE. A Memorial Mass will be offered at 11 am on Friday morning at St. Mary of the Assumption Church followed by interment at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Ashland, DE

In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to The of Delaware, 630 Churchman's Road, # 202, Newark, DE 19702.
