William J. Touhey, Jr. "Bill"

On May 24, 2013 Bill walked into the arms of the Lord with his loving family all around him.

Bill graduated from St. Peter's High School in Keokuk, Iowa and St. Ambrose College with a degree in Chemistry. He worked for the DuPont Company as a chemist, retiring after 35 years of service. Bill continued as a consultant with the DuPont Co. several years after retirement. In his early years, he coached little league baseball for his son's team. He was also an avid reader on the history of the civil war and WWII. Bill served his country in the Navy, being honorably discharged in 1946. He never missed a football game when his beloved Notre Dame was playing and enjoyed traveling with his wife and friends.

Bill is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joan Touhey, his daughter, Chris Bouchard (Dan) of Wilmington, DE, his son, Mike Touhey of LeSueur, MN, his 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 from 10:00 - 10:45 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 4701 Weldin Road, Wilm., DE 19803, where a Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am. Entombment will be in Cathedral Cemetery.
