Elliott, Clarence "Roy"

Williamson: Clarence "Roy" Elliott entered eternal rest in his 102nd year on Friday, January 17, 2014 at Park Ridge Living Centers Wegman Family Cottages in Rochester, New York. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary Mascle Elliott, in 2006, and by his brothers and sisters: Floyd, Norman, Ellis, Blanche, Gerald, Roger, Elizabeth and Kenneth. He is survived by his daughters: Priscilla Elliott Rosenberg (Alan), Sandra Lee Volta (Philip) and Mary Lynne Kniley (Michael); grandchildren: Annie Rosenberg, Tracy Rosenberg, Katie Rosenberg, Jennifer Volta Decker (Robert), William "Bob" Kniley (Joanna) and Kristina Kniley Raine (John); step-children: Michelle Wheeler (Alex) and Philip Volta, III; great-grandsons: Robert Decker III and Silas Raine; step-great-granddaughters: Sidney and Grace Wheeler.

He grew up on Bearswamp Road, served in World War II, ran a gas station on Main Street Williamson (which is where he met his future wife), bought a small farm on E. Ridge Road, which he later traded for his farm on Lake Road, spent many years as a Williamson bus driver where he met mandatory retirement at age 65. He and Mary retired to Florida, but continued to come up each fall to do some seasonal fruit hauling for his friend, Roger Cooney.

A celebration of his life will be held at Young Funeral Home on Sunday, January 19, 2014 (evening) from 6PM to 8PM. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery at 1PM on Monday, January 20, 2014.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be directed to the American Legion Post 394, 6206 Lake Avenue, Williamson, NY 14589 or Lollipop Farm, 99 Victor Road, Fairport, NY 14450. Arrangements have been entrusted to Young Funeral Home.
