Rochester: July 20, 2014 at age 72. Predeceased by his father, Florian Babiarz Sr. Bob is survived by his mother, Martha (Krzesinski) Babiarz; sister, Arlene (Babiarz) Putnam and her husband, Harvey Wasserman of Enfield, CT; three children, Connie McKenzie of Rochester, NY, John Babiarz and Cate of Palmyra, NY and Jennifer Barton and Trey of Denver, CO; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; uncle, Frank Babiarz of Florida; aunt, Dorothy Sarzyniak of Dunkirk, NY; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bob went to St. Stanislaus Grade School and graduated from Edison Technical High School. He was in the US Navy from 1961-1964, on the aircraft carrier, The WASP. He served during the cold war- the Cuban Blockade -his carrier assisted in the recovery of the Mercury Spacecraft, and traveled to Europe, the Caribbean and the Mediterranean. Bob worked for many years at Eastman Kodak as a plumber/pipe fitter. He was part owner and proprietor of "The Red Eye"-a bar/restaurant on Hudson Ave. in Rochester. He also worked for many years and retired from GM-Delphi. Bob was best known for his love of sports and the outdoors. He had numerous boats on Lake Ontario and loved the water, and was an avid golfer and card player. He was a member of the American Legion Melvin Michalski Post #1328 and the Rochester YMCA.

A Funeral Service will be held on FRIDAY, August 8th at 11 AM at the funeral home. Private interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. For more information, please visit www.yackiwfuneralhome.com.
