Pittsford: April 9, 2013 at age 65. Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family after a brief illness with Lung Cancer. Predeceased by her parents, Mary Lynn and Kellie Rozier, great aunt, Annie Lee Barnett; step - daughter Bobbie Pfledging. Gay is survived by her husband, J. Robert (Bob) Maney; daughter, LeAnn DiMarzo (Chris); grandchildren, Sarah, Anthony and Lauren DiMarzo; Sister, Kellyn Drayer (Jerry); nephews, Kelly Murray (Stacy) and Brian Murray (Amber); great nieces, Brooke and Ashley Murray; cousin, John Robert Whittington; step - children, Beth Mandrino (Phil), Kathy Slusser, John Maney (Julie), Susan O'Leary, Mary Joan "Jojo" Mongeon (John), Ellen Lahtinen (Jim); many step- grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.

Born and raised in Kilgore, Texas, Gay was a graduate of Kilgore College and The University of Texas. During her career she worked at Xerox and also in Long Term Care at Excellus Blue Cross and Blue Shield. She was a dedicated member and Past President of Rochester Rotary, Executive Director of the PGA Reach For The Green scholarship fund and involved in many other local charities and fundraising organizations. She loved spending time in Santa Fe, NM, playing cards and being with her family and friends.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the caregivers at Strong Memorial Hospital, The Jewish Home, Lifetime Hospice, Health Care At It's Finest private nursing and special family friend Jessica Sheppard. All of whom made Gay's last months and days so comfortable, peaceful and dignified.

Friends may call Thursday, April 11, 2013 from 1-4 and 6-8 PM at Anthony Funeral Chapel (2305 Monroe Ave.). A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 12, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Christ Episcopal Church, 35 South Main St., Pittsford. Interment private at the convenience of family. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The Reach For The Green Scholarship Fund, c/o Rochester Area Community Foundation, 500 East Ave., Rochester, NY 14607-1912 or to The Pluta Cancer Center Foundation, 125 Red Creek Rd., Rochester, NY 14623.
