Wise, Grant Walker
Fairport: December 18, 1987- December 25, 2012, at age 25 while in the Army stationed at Ft. Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska. He is survived by his parents Philip and Ruth Wise; brothers, Justin (Sarah) Wise and Drew Wise; grandparents, Frank and Joan Harbaugh; aunts, Linda Fitz and Mary Wise; uncles, David (Denni) Harbaugh and Tom Wise; niece, Laryssa Wise; nephew, Steven Wise, Pete Maklos, Courtney Huether; cousins, and many friends.
Attended Fairport High School where he played football and graduated in 2006. He went on to attend Monroe Community College and Michigan State University and joined the U.S. Army in October, 2011. After completing Basic Training and Airborne School at Ft. Benning, he completed the Selection Course for Green Beret training at Ft. Bragg and was assigned to the 3rd of the 509th Infantry Battalion- Bravo Company at Ft. Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska, while waiting to start Medic Training.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, January 1st from 4-8pm and Wednesday January 2nd from 12-2pm at Keenan's Funeral Home, 223-4840, located at 7501 Pittsford-Palmyra Road, Fairport, N.Y. 14450. Memorial Service will take place at 7pm, at Perinton Presbyterian Church, 6511 Pittsford-Palmyra Road, Fairport, N.Y. 14450. Those wishing may contribute to Wounded Warrior Project or VFW Perinton Post 8495.
