Hoy, Lawrence Townley

Ruskin, Florida: Passed away April 16, 2014. Lawrence was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1942. He moved to Canandaigua, NY as a child. He and his wife, Susan, moved to Ruskin, Florida in 2005. He and Susan were married on November 29, 1966.

Lawrence served in the United States Air Force from 1963 to 1967 and was awarded a Purple Heart of injuries received in Vietnam in August of 1965. He was honorably discharged from the US Air Force as an Airman 1st Class. He was also a member of the American Legion.

Lawrence worked for Eastman Kodak for 37 years. He was also a member of the Canandaigua, NY EMT squad for 18 years. He loved to play golf, go fishing and hunting with his sons, and he loved to read.

Lawrence is survived by his wife Susan; his three sons, Lawrence II and his fiancee April; Franklin; and Robert and his wife Corri. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Christopher, Owen and Abby. As well as one brother Ed, his wife Elizabeth and one nephew, Christopher.

There will be no viewing, instead there will be a small service for immediate family only.
