Penfield: 81, passed away on November 9, 2013, at the Shepherd Home in Penfield, NY, after a short illness. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Weslie Sholts and Beulah Gallagher Sholts of Oregon, WI.

Ralph is survived by his wife Paula of 53 years; his daughters, Carrie (John) Pirie of Ellicott City, MD, Kelly Sholts of Rochester, NY, Cami (Larry) LaLonde of Avon, NY; his brother Erwin (Joyce) Sholts and sisters Jean (Mark) Hanson and Joan Anderson all of Oregon, WI; his grandchildren, Ben Kitzel, Lehna Kitzel and Ava Pirie; as well as several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

Ralph grew up on a dairy farm in Oregon, Wisconsin. After serving for years in the Navy, Ralph attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. Upon graduation, Ralph accepted a position with Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he worked for ten years. In 1970, Ralph and his family moved to Webster, NY, after he accepted a position with Xerox Corporation. Ralph worked for Xerox for 28 years until he retired in 1998.

Ralph loved camping, bird watching, dogs and wood carving. He was a member and past president of the Genesee Valley Woodcarver's Club.

Heartfelt thanks go to the Leo Center for Caring in Rochester, NY, and the Shepherd Home in Penfield, NY, for their loving care and support.

Calling hours will be held on Monday November 18 from 4-7P.M. at the Falvo Funeral Home 1295 Fpt. Nine Mile Point Road. His funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1 P. M. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Shepherd Home Hospice 1959 Five Mile Line Road Penfield, N.Y. 14526 OR to the Humane Society At Lollypop Farm 99 Victor Rd. Fpt. N.Y. 14445. Interment Webster Union Cemetery.
