Rush-Livonia: June 19, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family at age 86. Tom was born the son of Leo and Mary Kennedy McNamara on April 2, 1927 in Canandaigua, NY. He was a 1945 graduate of Aquinas Institute, retired from Rochester Telephone after 41 years of service and was a school bus driver for Livonia Central School District for 20 years. Tom was a member of St. Joseph and St. Matthew Faith Community in Livonia; he was a member of the church choir, and was a Parish Council Member and President. He was a member of the Livonia Rotary Club and he was also one of the founding Livonia Youth Football Coaches. Tom was a proud subway alumni of The University of Notre Dame. He served his country during World War II in the United States Marine Corps. and was discharged in 1947 as a Staff Sergeant. Tom was a member of the Harrison Lee American Legion Post 283 in Livonia Center.

Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Patricia. His children, Ann Berzak of Zichron Yaacov, Israel, Maureen (Tracey) McNamara of Rush, Eileen (John) McNamara Cavanaugh of Scottsville, Thomas (Patricia) McNamara of Livonia, John (Vivienne Bailey) McNamara of Dedham, MA, Timothy (Maria) McNamara of Rochester. 11 Grandchildren, Tali (Kim Tricardo) Berzak, Ariel Berzak, Moreah (David) Zisquit, Christopher (Jennifer) West, Andrew (Melissa) West, Katharine (Marc) Adams, Matthew (Kathleen), Michael, Peter, Erin and Kevin McNamara. 4 Great grandchildren, Jackson, Noah, Hanna and Liam West. Daughter in law Sandy McNamara.

No prior visitation. Tom's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday June 21, 2013 at 10 am at St. Matthew Church, 6103 Richmond Mills Rd. Livonia, Rev. John H. Hayes celebrant. Interment, St. Michaels Cemetery, Livonia. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Unity Health Dialysis, Long Pond Unit, 1555 Long Pond Road, Rochester, NY 14626 or to St. Matthew Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 77, Livonia, NY 14487.
