Rochester: May 15, 2012. Ginny was born May 31, 1929 in Pittsburgh, PA. She graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in Occupational Therapy, did her clinical training in England, and took a job with the Rochester Rehabilitation Center. After retiring from a career as an occupational therapist, she became active as a volunteer, most recently as a docent with the Memorial Art Gallery. She was a great friend and partner to her spouse of 57 years, Herbert M. Lehman, who survives her. They enjoyed raising their family, traveling, skiing, tennis, gardening, and staying involved in the activities of their children and grandchildren. Also surviving are 3 children: Carole (Robert) Valliere of Laurel, MD; Ruth (John) VanDusen of Wexford, PA; Peter (Jennifer) Lehman of Auburn, WA, as well as 5 grandchildren: Andrew Valliere; Jack, Sam, and Anna VanDusen; and Amanda Lehman. She is also survived by two sisters, numerous nieces and nephews, and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
A celebration of Ginny's life will be held at a later date. Gifts in her memory may be made to the MAG Docent Endowment Fund, c/o Memorial Art Gallery, 500 University Ave., Rochester, NY 14607.
