Barbara Jean Wilkinson, 76, of Littleton, CO passed away on June 3, 2014. Barb was born August 2, 1937 in Minneapolis, MN. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Orloine Jones. Barb was a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a degree in Occupational Therapy. Barb raised a family and volunteered extensively for the Girl Scouts. She then started a work career and retired from the State of Colorado, directing a social services database. She was an extraordinary ordinary woman and a force of nature. She climbed 13 of Colorado's 14'ers, skied into her seventies, participated in competitive sailing, enjoyed Zumba, travel, volunteer work, spinning, book club, game groups, bridge, theatre, opera and gourmet cooking. She loved spending time with her family. She loved life and laughed with gusto. She is survived by her daughters Lisa (Bill) Parshall, Katy Wilkinson, Megan (Kerwin) Lumpkins, grandsons Taylor and Sam Rosean, sister Bonnie (Dick) Moschell, extended family and friends. Donations can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
