Edward (Ed) Gray, 71, passed on January 4th at his home in Snohomish, WA. Memorial contributions may be made to the Northwest Kidney Centers, PO Box 3035, Seattle, WA 98114. He was raised in Denver, graduated from Cathedral High School and Colorado State College in education. He was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. He taught for a total of 37 years beginning in Jefferson County. In 1966 he moved to Seattle where he taught in a suburban district, in elementary classrooms and the library program. After completing his Masters Degree at the University of Washington, he served as librarian for 19 years at Canyon Park Junior High. In 1993, he became the Supervisor of Library Services for the district. He retired from teaching in 1996. After retirement, he became an instructor in the graduate program at the University of Washington. He also served as President of the Northshore Education Association. In 1982 he married his wife Chris. After both retired, they became involved in many projects and causes, including showing classic Lincoln cars, politics, senior and homeless services. The last five years, Ed suffered from End Stage Renal Disease but dialysis gave him 5 bonus years. He is survived by his wife Chris, his brother Jim (San Jose, CA) and extended families members.
