Geneva Ann Maher died on October 17, 2013, at her home in suburban Denver, after an extended illness. She was born on June 29, 1931, in Iowa City, IA, the daughter of Louis James and Edith Marie (Ham) Maher. Ann graduated from University High School and the University of Iowa School of Nursing. An independent and self-reliant woman of substance, she spent most of her career serving as an RN and Nursing Supervisor at the Denver Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Ann is survived by her brother, Louis J. Maher, Jr. (Jane Crawford) of Middleton, WI; her nephews, L. James Maher III (Laura), Rochester, MN, and Robert C Maher (Lynn), Bozeman MT; and her niece, Barbara R Flatt (Roger), Fond du Lac, WI; and their families. At Ann's request, no services were held.
