Obituary Condolences

Glenn Alexander Dow died on 9-24-13 in Fairfield, CA. Mr. Dow was born on 11-10-22 near Ft. Worth, TX. He served in the US Army Air Corps in the 350th Fighter Group, as a P-47 'Thunderbolt' pilot, based in Pisa, Italy. He was injured by German cannon fire and was received the Purple Heart Medal. After returning from the war as a 1st Lt. he married Marybeth Trewhitt of Hanford, CA, and earned his BA in Business Admin. in 1947 from UT Austin. He was an independent oil and gas producer in Denver for 32 years; a member of Montview Presbyterian Church, the American Association of Petroleum Landmen, the Petroleum Club and the Denver Country Club. He and his wife moved from Denver in 1987 to their vineyard in Alexander Valley, Sonoma County, CA, and then to a retirement community in Fairfield in 1999. Mr. Dow was the son of the late Percy Alexander Dow and Nell (Pierce) Dow. He is predeceased by his younger brother Donald. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marybeth, four children, seven grandchildren, his twin brother, Hugh.
