One of Joy's greatest passions had always been travel. Her greatest wish was to see everything... and every place on the planet while she was here. Born Joyce Elaine Mozina in Warren, Ohio on Valentine's Day to Charles and Lucy Mozina, she told her Mother at the age of five, that she would see the world and see how people lived throughout this beautiful place. Since then, she travelled to over 55 countries in 6 continents. Joy majored in journalism and advertising art at Youngstown University in Ohio while she worked as a display artist, designing window displays. She then went on to becoming a layout artist, copywriter, and fashion artist. She was a freelance model for 10 years and recorded voice-overs for radio commercials. She was Editor of the Springfield Times in metro Washington DC, and Reporter for several weekly newspapers and Ohio weeklies. She started a magazine for Las Vegas business women, "Las Vegas Business Women's Resource Network." She was also the monthly Contributing Editor for the international travel magazine "Discover Worldwide." She started an advertising agency in Las Vegas specializing in travel and health. Joy lived in France for the year 1987 where she painted and wrote travel articles. Since moving to Denver in 1989, she mainly worked creating figurative sculptures in clay and acrylic paintings featuring people and animals. She had volunteered at the Lakewood Cultural Center teaching figure drawing classes since 2003. Joy is preceded in death by her second husband, Allen (Val) Valero in 1998. In September of 2002 she married and is survived by Ralph Luebs.
