Dr. Jones was born in Hennessey, Oklahoma on July 26, 1931 and passed away September 10, 2013 in Boulder, Colorado. He graduated from Loma Linda University Medical School in 1958 and served his two year service under the doctor draft law at the Federal Reformatory in Chillicothe, Ohio. In 1965 he completed a four year residency in Otolaryngology at Ohio State University and began his private medical practice in Denver, Colorado which continued for thirty-seven years. His primary hospitals were Porter Memorial and Swedish Medical. Roy's extensive hobbies included travel, photography, jazz, jeeping, world-class scrabble games, audio-books and JOKES! A third son, Milton Jones, passed away in 1999. His final memory was the Tchaikovsky Concerto #1 in B flat minor played live by the Boulder Philharmonic-a fitting conclusion to a memorable life.
