Bradley R. Peyton
Brad Peyton, 56, of Urbandale entered his eternal home while surrounded by his wife and children on September 19, 2013.
Brad was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on December 30, 1956 to Howard and Shirley Peyton. He was the oldest of four boys who grew up near Troy Mills, Iowa. He graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Farm Operations. He went on to attend the University of Iowa Law School where he graduated Order of the Coif.
Brad enjoyed 33 years of marriage to his wife, Claudia (Corning) Peyton, and called his four children his greatest joy and accomplishment.
Brad practiced law for nine years before starting various business ventures. Most recently, he was President and Chief Investment Officer of Clarity Asset Management.
In addition to his professional career, he was highly active in his community, taking part in his church and many political projects. He was also a coach and board member of Urbandale Little League for many years.
Brad was a founder of Shining City Foundation whose mission is to save children and families throughout the world.
Brad will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Claudia, children, Madeline (Shawn) Stobbe, Eric, David, and Leslie; his mother, Shirley Peyton Hollan; his brothers, Byron (Jana), Rod (Rhonda), Mark (Suzanne). His father, Howard, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, September 22nd at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Urbandale. A visitation will be held Saturday, September 21st at the church from 4-8 pm.
