Charlotte Lindstrom,87, of Dubuque, IA, formerly of Des Moines, IA, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2013 in Dubuque.
Services will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday November 9, 2013 at Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home, Dubuque, with visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Burial will be private at a later date in Alexandria, MN.
Charlotte graduated with a BS in Public Health Nursing from University of Minnesota, where she met her husband, Harold Lindstrom, and they were married on July 19, 1949.
Charlotte was employed as a School Nurse for the Des Moines Public School for 17 years. She is Past President of Chapter KT, and PEO. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Des Moines, and an Eagles Club Member of the Crystal Cathedral TV Church.
Charlotte and Harold were very involved in the Veterans of World War II 75th Infantry Division, and she was voted woman of the year in 1994 for her support.
Survivors include her husband, Harold, of Dubuque; her daughters, Barbara (Bill) Schaetzel of Lawrence, KS, Margaret Erwood of Atlanta, GA, Janet (Don) Warren of Dubuque, and Colleen (Dave) Meakins of Colorado Springs, CO; 16 grandchildren; a brother in law; a sister in law; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother; and her sister.
