Jim Davidson, 75, of Bonita Springs, FL, passed away peacefully at Garden Terrace of Overland Park, KS, on Saturday, January 26, 2013. Jim was born in Parkersburg, IA, in 1937. He graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1955, and attended The University of Iowa on a swim scholarship where he was a four-year letterman, graduating in 1959. Jim was in the insurance business in Des Moines, IA, for over 35 years, retiring from The Dana Company in 1996. After retirement, he moved to Bonita Springs, FL, where he loved to socialize, play golf and travel with his wife Linda. He will be truly missed by his friends and family. What will be missed most was his sense of humor and ability to bring laughter to anyone.
Survivors include Jim's first wife Judy Davidson of Urbandale, IA, his two sons, Craig Davidson of Eugene, OR and Jeff Davidson of Overland Park, KS, his wife Linda Davidson of Bonita Springs, FL and daughter Heather Sakellariou of Northbrook, IL.
A private Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 15 in Overland Park, KS. An additional service is Wednesday, February 13, 2013 in Bonita Springs, FL.
