Margaret Wood Coddington, 88, of Waverly, Iowa, passed gently into eternal peace on the morning of July 30, 2013 at the Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community in Waverly, Iowa.
She was born on February 3, 1925 to Herietta Dahlrymple and Beder Wood in Moline, Illinois.
The couple lived in Des Moines briefly in the early ninety's and were active at Plymouth United Church of Christ where they made many friends through their service in the church.
She is survived by Elizabeth Coddington Norton (Brad) of Lowden, Iowa, Thomas James Coddington of Bakersfield, California and Amy Klatt of Phoenix, Arizona; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren whose lives were blessed by her presence. She was preceded in death by her husband James Willard Coddington, a brother, Beder Wood and her son-in-law, Ernie Klatt.
Funeral Services will be held at the Good Shepherd Chapel at the Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community on August 21, at 10:30 a.m., with Pastor Alan Bidne officiating. Burial will be in Harlington Cemetery in Waverly. Visitation will be held on August 21, at Bartels Good Shepherd Chapel starting at 9:30 a.m. and lasting until the time of service.
